When Roy Trubshaw and I worked on MUD1, we saw it as a means of giving people freedom. For players, freedom to do and to be; for us, freedom to make our imaginations real (well, OK, virtual). Most of the early UK virtual worlds that followed had that same sense of idealism. After our "high energy" presentation, the questions were even stranger. Someone asked why humanities research got left out, and we had to say that we couldn't find it to be directly relevant on our top 10 list of bulleted points. Ian made the point, and I agreed, that doing the research for this panel made us think differently about academic research. While I'm not going to say that what we've done personally has no value, it was a definite challenge to try and make it *directly relevant* in a BULLETED POINT for developers.

Can I see famous NPCs such as Thrall? There are various famous characters in the world for you to discover! Make sure you take a screenshot with them! Can you attack NPCs/Shopkeepers? At this time you can not attack Shopkeepers or town NPCs, however this will be looked at and perhaps changed in the future.

To provide better communication with our players, we would like to inform our community about the various methods used to update World of Warcraft. The following are the four major methods of updating the game: Content patch - The content patch introduces major additions and/or changes to the game, whether in terms of functionality, content, economy, social interaction, or combat. For example, we recently opened up the dungeon Maraudon, as well as adding the priest spell Prayer of Fortitude as part of the same content patch. Content patches require a maintenance period of several hours and are accompanied by a download and patch notes.

The World of Warcraft servers utilize an entirely new network architecture that has been designed from the ground up specifically for this style of gameplay. We created this next-generation architecture by incorporating our knowledge of multiplayer gaming with our numerous Battle.net and Diablo experiences.

All Disorient effects have been renamed Incapacitate effects. This includes Gouge, Sap, etc. All Confusion effects have been renamed Disorient effects. This includes Blind, Scatter Shot, etc. Food and Drink are now in separate categories, so you can only have one food effect and one drink effect on you at a time.

A new Guild Recruitment channel has been added. This channel will be off by default. Fixed a bug that could cause players to appear to be porting around in a small area.

Farming cloth for WoW gold still exists! It's possible to farm cloth at any level of cloth! Most server's have cloth inflated so much right now. Here's the prices that I'm seeing throughout my 9 servers. These prices are all per stack of 20:

Sets are another great way to pull in money. You can sell profession sets, or even drop sets (those like the Twill Set). The only way you will make money off of these though is if you complete the full set.
